Where are your sunglasses…RIGHT NOW? This is not a trick question, but I bet you are struggling to find the answer anyway. It’s a blinding sort of panic when you realize your favorite pair of sunglasses aren’t in any of your pockets, the center consul, your briefcase, the night table or the refrigerator. But here’s the rule of thumb: If you have to say “If I knew where I had them last, they wouldn’t be missing,” you know you are in deep doo-doo.
But fear no more! We are here to provide you some tips to avoid your next panic attack all together:
Have a Home For Them – The first step in not losing your sunglasses is to find a home for them wherever you are. Pick one place in your house that you commit to putting them every time you walk in the door. Do the same at your office, in your car, and so on. For example, at home, the sunglasses go in the caddy by the door. At work, they go on the designated shelf next to the car keys. In the car, they always go on the visor clip. If they remain in the same “homes,” they will be easily located.
Don’t Set Them Down – This rule is one part discipline and one part habit. Tables, countertops, bar counters; these are all off limits. This is especially true when in restaurants, where sunglasses tend to migrate over to the condiments/dessert area – and stay there when you leave.
Put Them With Something – Make the conscious choice to always leave your sunglasses next to something that you cannot leave without. For example, leave your sunglasses in the same place that you leave your car keys, jacket or wallet.
Invest In Some Stylin’ Croakies – I know you might not believe me, but Croakies are making a comeback in a big way. Stay ahead of the trend, and grab yourself a pair. This way, you know where your shades are at all times.
